Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I want to provide members a safe place for their finances.

I serve members in…

Eufaula, McAlester, Checotah, Muskogee and Henryetta.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance and annuities.

I enjoy working with…

young families, young individuals looking for help growing and protecting their assets, and individuals approaching or in retirement.

I attended…

Connors State College, and Northeastern State University.

I am very proud of…

my faith.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

worked at an independent insurance agency for over 8 months and was a student. 2 years ago, I was with Edward Jones for over 9 months.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

of fraternalism - we're involved in our communities and make an impact with our members. We're more than just life insurance and investments, and being with Modern Woodmen allows me to be a one-stop shop for my community and surrounding communities.

The best part of my career is…

my ability to make a positive impact on members' lives. Whether it's financially, or just being a friendly face to talk to.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I messaged my Regional Director, Greg Mallett, on Facebook. Greg and Layton both saw something in me from the start and gave me a great opportunity.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my fiancee, Adison, my dad and mom, my two brothers, my two uncles and two aunts, and soon-to-be father and mother-in law and brother-in law.

In my free time, you can find me…

out hunting, fishing, or reading my bible.

I’m passionate about…

my faith in Jesus, Oklahoma State athletics, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

My greatest blessing is…

Jesus and my family.

My personal motto is…

always be kind to others.

My hidden talent is…

I grow gardens.

Community impact

In the community

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

my entire life!

What I like best about my community is…

it's a small town. We're all one big family!

I’m a member of…

Eufaula First Assembly of God.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

monthly grocery giveaways for families in need through my church, and helping the Eufaula football team with stats.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

local Modern Woodmen chapters, volunteering, and youth service clubs.

It's 30 days until Tax Day. Are you prepared? This is a great time to review what you’re saving in your IRA. Let’s meet to discuss your retirement goals.

Ready to declutter your finances? Here are five tips to spring clean your budget. 1. Conduct your own expense audit. Go through the last one to three months of expenses and locate potential wasteful spending. 2. Cancel or reduce subscriptions. Ask yourself if there are any you can downgrade. 3. Set spending caps. Set limits on a few categories – like eating out, shopping or coffee runs – to remain flexible. 4. Map out irregular expenses. Put money aside for things like car repairs, gifts, home maintenance and travel to prepare for the future. 5. Set one budget goal per month. Examples include reducing food delivery by $80, paying off a bill or building an emergency cushion.

Did you or your student apply for one of the 2026 Modern Woodmen scholarships? Winners will be notified in April. Best of luck and keep following your dreams!
