Why I do what I do

I serve members in…

the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

I enjoy working with…

families and small-business owners.

I attended…

University of Texas in Arlington and am working on my BSN.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

served as an ELT in the Navy for 5 years aboard the USS Nimitz! I traveled the world seeing tons of different places and working with nuclear reactors.

The best part of my career is…

reaching out and giving back to my community.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife, Oakley, and sons, Grayson and Luke.

In my free time, you can find me…

in the garage wrenching engines, tuning motors, and chasing the adrenaline rush of every ride.

I’m passionate about…

my friends and family. I am also a big Broncos fan.

My personal motto is…

Do it with purpose, or don't do it at all!

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for about a year. I moved here after my time in the military.

I’m a member of…

Forney Chamber of Commerce.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

hands-on, especially if we get to build something for someone.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

helping provide positive experiences for kids through Modern Woodmen’s local youth service clubs.

Birthday Book Club | Modern Woodmen

Our Birthday Book Club program is one step toward building your home library! Each year, member children can receive a free, age-appropriate book for their birthday. Ask me how to sign up your child.

It's 30 days until Tax Day. Are you prepared? This is a great time to review what you’re saving in your IRA. Let’s meet to discuss your retirement goals.

Ready to declutter your finances? Here are five tips to spring clean your budget. 1. Conduct your own expense audit. Go through the last one to three months of expenses and locate potential wasteful spending. 2. Cancel or reduce subscriptions. Ask yourself if there are any you can downgrade. 3. Set spending caps. Set limits on a few categories – like eating out, shopping or coffee runs – to remain flexible. 4. Map out irregular expenses. Put money aside for things like car repairs, gifts, home maintenance and travel to prepare for the future. 5. Set one budget goal per month. Examples include reducing food delivery by $80, paying off a bill or building an emergency cushion.

Did you or your student apply for one of the 2026 Modern Woodmen scholarships? Winners will be notified in April. Best of luck and keep following your dreams!
