Why I do what I do
Why I do what I do
I believe people make better financial decisions when they understand the choices in front of them. I have spent much of my career as an educator, and I bring that same approach to financial planning: listen first, explain clearly, and help people build the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions for themselves and their families.
I enjoy working with…
individuals and families at every stage of life, from those just beginning to build their financial foundations to retirees navigating the transition from saving to creating sustainable income. I also enjoy working with small-business owners and professionals whose financial lives often require looking at the bigger picture.
Before Modern Woodmen, I…
spent nearly two decades teaching mathematics and statistics. I also worked in data science and analytics. Those experiences taught me how to take complicated subjects, understand the details, and make them approachable and useful to others – skills I now bring to financial planning.
I chose Modern Woodmen because…
I wanted to build my practice somewhere that values long-term relationships, community involvement and service. Modern Woodmen gives me the opportunity to help people plan for their financial futures while becoming an active part of the community I serve.
The best part of my career is…
seeing the moment when something that once seemed complicated or intimidating begins to make sense. I don't simply want someone to leave a conversation knowing their options; I want them to understand why those options matter and feel more confident about the decisions ahead.
