Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.

I serve members in…

Georgia and Alabama.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

families, those approaching retirement and small-business owners.

I attended…

Bowdon High School and Carroll Technical College.

I am very proud of…

earning Modern Woodmen's Century Club twice and the FIC award for the Georgia chapter in 2010 and 2011. I also earned Modern Woodmen's Career Club award my first year, and Rookie of the Year in my region.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

worked for 13 years at Peds Products as a technician.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

it is a great organization that I believe in -- not only for how it supports its members, but also for how it support our community. Modern Woodmen allows me to give back through the great financial products and all of the programs it offers to help people.

The best part of my career is…

knowing I can help people, honestly, with a good product. Whether it's planning for retirement, protecting a member's family with life insurance or holding a Matching Fund event to help someone with medical bills, I feel good knowing I helped make a positive impact on people's lives.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

a member's house burned down. I was able to offer Fraternal Aid to them, and Modern Woodmen stepped in and paid their insurance premiums.

“My personal motto is: Always be honest, no matter what. Treat others just as you would treat your own family.”

My life outside of work

In my free time, you can find me…

cooking for nieces and nephews, or going to their activities at school -- wrestling, band, baseball, etc.

I’m passionate about…

my family and friends. I also love my church and my church family.

My greatest blessing is…

my family and church family.

My personal motto is…

Always be honest, no matter what. Treat others just as you would treat your own family.

My hidden talent is…

I play piano and organ. I also love to cook.

Community impact

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

my entire life.

What I like best about my community is…

it is very rural and quiet. People really care about their neighbors.

I’m a member of…

Macedonia Baptist Church in Ranburne, Alabama.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

any where I can help children, seniors or the sick.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

the coming-together of the community when my manager's daughter was hurt on a four-wheeler. She had a massive brain bleed and a stroke. She cannot walk or talk. The community came together like never before. They had a cake auction and prayer walk and raised $10,000. Then we had a Matching Fund event and raised $6,000 more.
