Why I do what I do

I'm so blessed to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to do what I do.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a math and engineering teacher for 14 years. I also coached basketball, track and volleyball during that time.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I believe in the organization - not only for how it supports members to reach their financial goals, but also for the way it supports communities by giving back.

The best part of my career is…

helping my members. Whether it's protecting their families with life insurance or planning for retirement, I feel good knowing I made a positive impact on their lives.

the amazing people. Everyone treats you like family. People genuinely care for one another, and they give back to make the community great.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

As a member of Modern Woodmen, I applied for and received the Do-Good Grant to assist a Dover High School group called The Hope Squad. These students and teachers are doing some amazing work outside of the classroom.
