Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.

I serve members in…

Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties. I am licensed in Wisconsin, Illinois and Connecticut.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

those approaching or in retirement and small businesses.

I attended…

WSU Fond du Lac and University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

I am very proud of…

my community service, which includes being on the grants committee for the Greater Kenosha Foundation, Flightfest of Kenosha and Racine, AmeriCorp, Urban Outreach, past president of Racine Kenosha NAFIA, past state president of NAFIC, and Paul Ryan's advisory committee for insurance and banking.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a district agent for Lutheran Brotherhood for 29 years.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

of the organization's commitment to serve the entire community, regardless of faith, simply based on need. Also, the tools we have to protect our clients with diversity of investments and insurance products makes it easier to tailor-make the financial planning process.

The best part of my career is…

serving my entire community, while continuing in my own faith path. The positive impact I have made on so many families in my community makes me very proud.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I recruited and mentored new agents to continue in my path to serve others as they would want to be served.

Also…

if you or someone you love has need of my service and experience, please don't keep me a secret. I'm willing to help all families, no matter their situations or income.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my two adult children, Terri and Paul Joseph; my four grandchildren, Antonio, Bryce, Dezarea and Callie; and my great-grandson, Carsyn.

In my free time, you can find me…

going on long walks, bowling, golfing and boating.

I’m passionate about…

protecting families from enduring the same financial situation my father left us with when he died suddenly at the age of 51.

My greatest blessing is…

my family, my faith and my health.

My personal motto is…

serve others as you would want to be served.

My hidden talent is…

hearing the unspoken words.

Community impact

In the community

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

my entire life.

What I like best about my community is…

the smallness and largeness of it and the proximity to vast amounts of fresh water, Lake Michigan and many small inland lakes.

I’m a member of…

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Breakfast Kiwanis, Paul Ryan's Advisory Board for Banking and Insurance and NAFIC.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

hands-on activities, building, repair and service where the results can be seen, and I can help children. I like anything where I can take my grandkids to teach them the importance of giving back.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.
