Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a commercial real estate broker specializing in real estate investment acquisition and analysis, focused on commercial and timberlands.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

my parents have been members since 1948 and Modern Woodmen has always fulfilled its promises to my family. I believe strongly in the organization. It has supported not only my family but all of its members to help them reach the financial goals they have set. Plus, the fraternal offerings allow me to give back to the community in which I live and work.

The best part of my career is…

helping members achieve their financial goals and providing a level of protection that no other industry can provide. I sleep great at night knowing I have made a positive impact in not only my members' lives, but the community as well.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I was able to help a terminally ill member pay off their mortgage prior to their death by reminding them of the free accelerated benefits rider they had with their certificate.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

two beautiful daughters, Hayley and Kaitlyn.

In my free time, you can find me…

with our cattle at our farm. My daughters are both actively involved in 4-H and raise Angus and Charolais beef cattle. We also enjoy being in the great outdoors, either biking, hiking, hunting or fishing.

I’m passionate about…

my family, friends and faith. Without them, life would be incomplete.

My greatest blessing is…

my family, friends and, of course, my health.

My personal motto is…

People need to realize that communication is not the same as connecting!

My hidden talent is…

being able to listen more than I speak -- and my ability to be confident without being cocky.

NAFIC, NRA (life member), 4-H dad, Cattlemen's Association.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

serving as deacon at my church, volunteering with ARC and, of course, 4-H activities.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

donating youth educational programs to schools.
