Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I’m passionate about helping my members determine their financial goals. We work together to create a plan based on their unique needs.

I serve members in…

Ohio and Michigan.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

small-business owners, families and those approaching retirement.

I attended…

The Ohio State University -- and The University of Findlay for my MBA.

I am very proud of…

earning Modern Woodmen's Century Club in my first year as a representative.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

was a manager for my family's transportation business.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I believe in the organization – not only for how it supports members to help them reach their financial goals, but also for the way it supports my community and allows me to give back.

The best part of my career is…

helping my members. Whether it's planning for their retirement or protecting their families with life insurance, I feel good knowing I helped make a positive impact on their lives.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I saw the relief in parents' eyes as I explained how we were not only going to protect what they had already built, but also help grow their wealth into the future.

I’m passionate about…

helping others achieve their financial goals, fitness and THE Ohio State Buckeyes!

My greatest blessing is…

my son.

My personal motto is…

"Do what you say and say what you do."

My hidden talent is…

drinking large amounts of coffee and still being able to fall asleep. (Ha!)

Community impact

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

off and on for 35 years.

What I like best about my community is…

that it is a quiet and wholesome place to raise a family.

I’m a member of…

the United Methodist Church in Burgoon, Ohio.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

preparing food for our food drives.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

a Matching Fund event that we held to raise money for the Bascom Fire Department.

Our Wild About Animals campaign is making an impact nationwide. In the first quarter, a total of 437 service activities were completed, with a total of $56,923 fraternal dollars spent to help animals in local communities. Let’s keep the momentum going as we move into our next quarter -- helping local pets!

Given the number of recent natural disasters across the country, I feel it’s a good time to remind members of the Modern Woodmen program, Fraternal Aid Fund. This program is for members suffering a financial hardship due to a serious health problem, fire or natural disaster. You can find more information here or contact me to learn more. https://www.modernwoodmen.org/my-membership/member-benefits/fraternal-aid-fund/

The name Modern Woodmen was inspired by: a. Lumberjacks. b. Pioneer woodmen. c. Cabinet makers. Answer: Pioneer woodmen. We were founded in 1883 to clear financial burdens – just as pioneer woodmen cleared the land to build homes and security for their families.

They say you can't put a price on a good education – but those saddled with student loans may disagree. I can help you more effectively manage and pay off your debt. Let's talk. https://www.modernwoodmen.org/financial-planning/savings/tips-for-tackling-student-loans/
