Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I see the importance of the services I provide, and I love to help others. This career allows me to do both!

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

worked many years as a corrections officer, then transitioned into health care as a sleep technologist. I’ve always felt a call to serve others. My unique work history helps me to be sensitive to different perspectives and communicate effectively with a variety of people.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

the organization provides a holistic approach to financial wellness and gives back to those we serve.

The best part of my career is…

knowing I make a positive impact and provide peace of mind to my members.

“It's my job to make sure you have the essential foundation for a smart relationship with money. Together, we can plan, protect and prosper.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my incredibly supportive husband, Ryan; my bonus kiddos Hayden and Grace; and our dogs Breacher and Nellie.

In my free time, you can find me…

outside as much as possible. I also enjoy reading, cooking or relaxing at our camper with my family and dogs.

I’m passionate about…

animals and rescue efforts. I’m a huge advocate for animal rights, and I will always support local organizations in combating overpopulation of shelters and rescues. Pets are part of our families, and they deserve to be treated as such. I’m also an avid reader and promote donations to our local little free libraries in hopes of sharing the love of literacy with others!

My greatest blessing is…

being raised by some of the strongest and bravest women I have ever known. They say it takes a village, and I was blessed with a great one! I am also incredibly thankful to share my life with my best friend as my husband.

My personal motto is…

"You are most qualified to help the person you used to be." My past experiences help me understand and empathize with many life situations, and I want to help when I can.

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

almost my entire life. I’ve only lived outside Dodge County to attend Marian University in Fond du Lac.

What I like best about my community is…

I love the small town values and quiet of the country.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

Hands-on projects or helping animals.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

the Birthday Book Club and local chapter activities.

Therapy from four paws and a wagging tail

We partnered with the Wisconsin Guardian Foundation on their Divots for Dogs golf outing. Through the Matching Fund project, we helped raise money to pair a service dog with a veteran. Pictured: We presented a check to Tiffany (center) from Jessiffany Canine Services, LLC , the organization that trains highly skilled dogs to be paired with veterans and law enforcement officers. The Wisconsin Guardian Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting U.S. military veterans, first responders and gold star families. The organization provides peer-to-peer support, service dogs, and mental health and substance abuse resources. I'm proud to stand with this organization making such a meaningful impact!

Set your grandchildren up for lifelong security with life insurance designed just for them. · Lock in low rates while they’re young. · Protect their future insurability. · Build cash value for college, a first car, or other milestones. Let’s talk about how you can give peace of mind that lasts a lifetime.

I often hear people say, "I don't know how I'd go on if something happened to my spouse, child, or parent" or "I cannot imagine my life without them!" And none of us want to think about it... until life forces us to. The hardest decisions often come when we are in the deepest grief. That is why having a plan before anything happens isn't just about finances and paperwork, it's about protecting your peace during one of the hardest seasons of life, and one of the kindest gifts you can give yourself and your family. If these thoughts have been lingering in your mind, you are not alone. If you want guidance, or resources, I am here to help.
