Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I attended…

Huron University, graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources.

coaching Lilly's softball team and working with the Huron Area Girl Scouts.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

enjoying social and educational opportunities with my local Modern Woodmen chapter.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

raising money for local communities after a tornado. We raised over $30,000 to help local families recover.

Recently Modern Woodmen members in the Huron Area held a Matching Fund for our local United Way's Heartland Region Backpack Program. The program began in 2009 in response to the high number of food insecure homes seen in the Huron Public School District. What began with 80 students in one school has now grown to over 540 students served in 8 schools within Beadle County. Each week, volunteers package and deliver backpacks of food for school age children to bring home over the weekend when they don't have access to school lunch. If you are interested in learning more about the Backpack Program, please contact Jen Bragg at [email protected]. Donations to the program can be made through this Venmo code, or by visiting www.liveunitedhuronsd.com

Modern Woodmen members recently partnered with Kindernook Preschool to raise funds for their students. Kindernook is open to children ages 3 and 4 to prepare them for lifelong learning. Thank you to Peggy, Nancy and Laura for helping our children turn into Huron Tigers! #FraternalFriday
