Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I’m passionate about helping my members determine their financial goals. We work together to create a plan based on their unique needs.

I serve members in…

Omaha and throughout Nebraska.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

families, those approaching retirement, and small-business owners.

I attended…

the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I received my master's degree from Doane University.

I am very proud of…

earning the Career Development Award my first year with Modern Woodmen. I have also completed my FIC and FICF designations. All this hard work has helped me form wonderful, trusting relationships with my members and protect their financial futures.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

taught elementary school for 15 years.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I believe in the organization - not only for how it supports members to reach their financial goals, but also for the way it supports my community and allows me to give back.

The best part of my career is…

helping my members. Whether it's planning for their retirement or protecting their families with life insurance, I feel good knowing I helped make a positive impact on their lives.

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my husband, Ryan; my 3-year-old daughter, Hadley; and my son, Bennett, who we welcomed in December 2023! We also have a black lab named Chloe.

In my free time, you can find me…

spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to sporting events, and spending time in my community.

I’m passionate about…

my family and friends and, of course, the Nebraska Cornhuskers!

My greatest blessing is…

my family. My husband, Ryan, is so supportive of my career and my children, Hadley and Bennett, are truly the best things that have ever happened to me. I’m blessed to be their mama.

My personal motto is…

always remember the Golden Rule: treat others how you would like to be treated.

Community impact

In the community

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for 16 years.

What I like best about my community is…

the amazing people. It's home. It always has been and always will be! No one is a stranger. People genuinely care for one another and give back to make this community great.

I’m a member of…

Center Sphere networking group, NAIFA, and the Young Advisors Table through NAIFA.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

giving back to my community through donations, service projects and helping those in need.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

enjoying social and educational opportunities with my local Modern Woodmen chapter.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

partnering with Mosaic, an organization that assists individuals with intellectual disabilities, with its annual summer picnic. We helped with kickball and cornhole games, and we registered members. It was a great day of giving back to an incredible organization in our community.

Also…

I helped a family who experienced an unthinkable loss. Through a Matching Fund project, I assisted them in their time of need.

Mosaic partnership

My team and I volunteered with Mosaic to help at the organization’s annual "One Mosaic Day" picnic. Mosaic supports adults with intellectual disabilities. We helped with kickball and cornhole games, registered members, and enjoyed socializing. I’m planning a Matching Fund project with "Partners in Possibilities" luncheon, its annual fundraiser in October. Stay tuned for more highlights from this partnership!

As a former 2nd grade teacher, I know how important it is for students to have adequate supplies. I am so happy I could help out kids in our community with new backpacks and school supplies to start the new school year.

Recently I completed the "Pathway to Leadership" course offered through Modern Woodmen. What a great course for goal setting, future planning, and career advancement.

We’ve been named to Forbes list of the world’s best life insurance companies 2024. I’m grateful to be a part of this organization!

My dog Chloe Sue is super excited that our fraternal focus this year is "Wild About Animals." Not only are we giving back to our human community members and organizations, but we are also giving back to our animal friends as well!
