Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance and annuities.

I enjoy working with…

young families with small children and helping those who are approaching retirement.

I attended…

Timbo High School. I'm also a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, where I received a master's degree in education.

I am very proud of…

earning Modern Woodmen's President's Club status and qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

taught elementary school for 27 years.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I had been member and knew how Modern Woodmen supported its members. I loved how Modern Woodmen worked to give back in the community. I love that I get to make an impact each and every day in my community.

The best part of my career is…

helping students who I taught years ago to now plan for their future though life insurance and investments.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

I realized that because I had asked, a family did not have to worry about expenses for their son’s funeral. My first death claim was for a 12-year-old boy who died suddenly from a heart attack. While I was visiting with his father 10 months earlier, I asked about coverage for his wife and children, and we wrote them certificates (policies). When I delivered the check for the son’s claim, that father told me he felt like God must have sent me that day 10 months earlier.

“I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to be able to do what I do.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my loving husband, Donald. I have one son, Dillon, and twin daughters, Keegan and Laken. I have been blessed with two wonderful sons-in-law, Justin and Gavin, and a stepgranddaughter, Caroline. We also have a spoiled cat, Lionel, and a granddog, Teddy!

In my free time, you can find me…

traveling with my husband, my family and my friends.

I’m passionate about…

about spending time with family and documenting every event with pictures.

My greatest blessing is…

family and my friends.

My personal motto is…

Be the type of person you want to meet.

My hidden talent is…

that I never meet a stranger.

Community impact

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

for 16 years, but I work in the community I grew up in.

What I like best about my community is…

that when I married my husband and moved here, everyone treated me like I had been here all my life.

I’m a member of…

NAIFA, NAFIC, Belview Baptist Church, Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, Stone County Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary and Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

helping with the bimonthly World War II Veterans Dinner.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

helping raise money for a member's family member who received a living-donor liver.
