Meet Dr. Alec & Casey Shell, from Cornerstone Chiropractic in Summerville, SC! Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to do the work you do today? (Almost) 32-year-old male that loves activities and staying active, spending quality time with family, reading books, and walking farmer markets with my beautiful wife, Casey. Helping people, in the office and/or outside, to better understand and listen to themselves, the world and how it all connects -this is my passion. Getting into chiropractic began by seeing my dad, a chiropractor, help countless people experience relief and see overall improvement in their lives. I also loved the idea of being able to stay moving throughout the day. Now, I have my own experience, as a chiropractor, seeing the amazing improvements our practice members are enjoying. What is your go-to drink and treat for the winter? Roobos chai tea and dark chocolate. How has your experience been working with TJ at Modern Woodmen? Love my experience with Modern Woodmen, my advisor, TJ Clayton-Cornell is phenomenal. I’m looking forward to next steps of diving deeper into investing and planning for our future. What’s one local business/place you love to support in Charleston? Coastal coffee in Summerville is great! What’s a goal you’re excited about for 2026? To hire staff so that we are able to grow and better serve our community.

Meet the Shropshier Family, Brittany & Caleb! Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to do the work you do today? I’m a mom, wife, and as a Charleston-based Realtor, someone who really loves helping people navigate big life transitions. My faith plays a big role in how I show up in both my life and my work. I believe in serving people well, leading with integrity, and treating every client the way I’d want my own family treated. I was drawn to real estate because of the “why” behind every move; growing families, new jobs, fresh starts. Becoming a mom deepened that even more. Home means everything to me now, and I bring that same care and intention to every client I work with. What is your go-to drink and treat for the winter? An iced latte with almond milk if I’m out, or just a good cup of coffee at home, and I definitely go for the seasonal flavors in fall/winter. For a treat, would have to be something homemade. I love baking, and winter always feels like the best time put that to work. My favorite has to be peanut butter cookies. How has your experience been working with TJ at Modern Woodmen? Working with TJ has felt easy in the best way! He’s thoughtful, patient, proactive, and genuinely cares about helping people make smart, long-term decisions. I appreciate that he explains things clearly and meets us where we are at without pressure, so we can make decisions with confidence. It feels like a true partnership. What’s one local business/place you love to support in Charleston? It’s hard to narrow it down to just one! Charleston has so many amazing local, small businesses and I love making sure to check them out. Obviously for what I do, local coffee shops are places you can always find me supporting. It’s where I can get work done, meet clients and catch up with friends. What’s a goal you’re excited about for 2026? In 2026, I’m excited to continue growing my business in a really intentional way. Being a present mom, staying connected to all the growth happening in Charleston, and keep raising the bar in how I serve people relocating to Charleston.
