Why I do what I do

Why I do what I do

I’m so blessed to make a living by helping others and their communities. Each day, I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s very rewarding to do what I do.

I serve members in…

Apex and surrounding communities.

I can help you plan for life using a variety of tools, including…

life insurance, annuities, mutual funds and variable annuities.

I enjoy working with…

anyone who wants to improve their financial situation.

I attended…

the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a baseball scholarship.

I am very proud of…

my family.

Before Modern Woodmen, I…

worked with a local insurance company helping people with their car and home insurance needs.

I chose Modern Woodmen because…

I never saw an organization give so much back to the communities while also helping families with their financial planning.

The best part of my career is…

sitting with people and putting plans in place to help them achieve their financial goals.

A favorite moment in my career was when…

my chapter held a Matching Fund project to help a local man who lost his wife to cancer after their third child was born.

“I am so blessed to be able to make a living by helping others as well as their communities. Each day I sit down and help people overcome financial concerns and obstacles. I also get to help my community with our fraternal programs and activities. It’s rewarding to be able to do what I do.”

My life outside of work

My family includes…

my wife, Stacey, and our four kids.

In my free time, you can find me…

serving the community through my council position, hanging out with my family, coaching my kids' sports teams, or maybe, just maybe, playing a round of golf.

I’m passionate about…

my family, my community and Eric Church.

My greatest blessing is…

having a healthy family.

My personal motto is…

Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord ... "

Community impact

In the community

In the community

My local community impact

I have lived in my community…

since 1994.

What I like best about my community is…

the small-town charm.

I’m a member of…

Summit Church.

My favorite volunteer activities are…

anything where I can involve my kids to teach them the importance of serving others.

It’s very important to me to support my community. My favorite Modern Woodmen programs are:

Matching Fund projects to raise money for those in need.

My favorite memory from a fraternal event is…

delivering a check to a father of three after he lost his wife/the kids’ mother to cancer a couple months earlier.

For example, set a minimum amount you'd like to save each month, or strive to meet your budget. Small actions can add up. Need help? Meet with me to build a plan.
