Who is Modern Woodmen? Contrary to what our name suggests, we're not woodworkers, nor do we clear trees. But we do clear the way for bright financial futures. As a financial representative, I'm my member's guide through the forest. Together, we build a plan that meets their goals, combining life insurance, retirement plans and more. #PioneersForLife #ModernSince1883

Q: What is a beneficiary? A: Someone who receives the death benefit payment from your life insurance. This could be a spouse, child, sibling, parent or anyone who would be impacted financially by your passing. Do you have more questions surrounding life insurance? Contact me today.

Did you know? Modern Woodmen paid its first death claim in 1884 with the death of Abraham Mayer of Iowa. Abe died of "indiscretion from eating confectioneries on the Fourth of July." The claim was paid to his wife, Henrietta Mayer, and totaled $698.58. In 2024, payments and benefits to members totaled $1.52 billion. This includes death benefits, annuity payments and surrender benefits. #Modernsince1883 #LIAM2025

Did you know life insurance has roots in Ancient Rome? Back in 100 B.C., Roman burial clubs helped families cover funeral costs - one of the earliest forms of life insurance! Fast forward to the 1800s, fraternal benefit societies were formed to support families after the loss of a breadwinner. That same spirit inspired Joseph Cullen Root to found Modern Woodmen in 1883. We continue that legacy by helping families protect what matters most. https://www.modernwoodmen.org/about-us/what-we-are/finding-roots-in-ancient-rome/
