Myth: Fraternalism is an old-fashioned concept that no longer matters. Fact: Fraternalism is simply people helping people. Through Modern Woodmen member programs and benefits, members have opportunities to connect, give back and access support that helps make a difference in their lives and communities.

Sometimes things don’t go quite according to plan! This weekend we came together for the Dan Wilmot Golf Outing, and unfortunately, the weather had other plans for us. But that didn’t stop everyone from showing up and supporting a great cause! The money that was raised hit over $3,000 and I was incredibly excited to be able to add another $2,500 through Modern Woodmen’s Matching Fund program, bringing the total impact to more than $5,000! The money raised will be donated to Misericordia and the Marist High School Contractors Association, making an awesome day of community and generosity even more meaningful. This is one of my favorite parts of what I get to do with Modern Woodmen. We’re not just helping families with their financial futures—we’re also able to put money directly back into the communities we live and work in. Huge thank you to everyone who organized the outing, donated, bought raffle tickets, came out despite the weather, and helped make the day a success. The golf may have been rained out, but the mission definitely wasn’t!
